How to change the JDK for the server to use JRockit instead of Sun JDK :
.
The JDK is picked up according to the JAVA_VENDOR setting in the setDomainEnv.sh/cmd file. If you
want to change the JDK, please do the following.
.
1. Add the following link as first line in your setDomainEnv.cmd file.
set JAVA_VENDOR=BEA
.
2. Make sure BEA_JAVA_HOME is set to your Jrockit location. If not set BEA_JAVA_HOME to point to the Jrockit installation on your machine (in setDomainEnv file).
.
3. Start your server and make sure it is using JRockit. While starting the server, stdout will
print which java server is used to start the server JVM. For eg.
starting weblogic with Java version:
java version “1.5.0_12”
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_12-b04)
BEA JRockit(R) (build R27.4.0-90_CR358515-94243-1.5.0_12-20080118-1154-windows-ia32, compiled mode)

Thats it..!!🙂

  2. set JAVA_VENDOR=BEA isn’t correct anymore.
    set JAVA_VENDOR=Oracle is correct now.
    Thanks anyway!
